London's Westminster Council is sell abandoned cars on through eBay.

According to Westminster it is the first authority to do so. Initially it is only a trial. So far one car a Range Rover has been sold. The next car is a 1962 Rover P5.

Up to 30 cars a year could be sold through this route. In time other asset sales may also use eBay.
