Niagara Falls and Biometric Control

The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission is to use Bioscrypt V-Prox for biometric access control.

Bioscrypt is a vendor of identity verification technology.

The Canadian and U.S. border is to be secured in both directions in terms of both goods and people.

Areas within the newly constructed, state-of-the-art NFBC headquarters requiring the highest level of security, such as server rooms and telecommunication rooms, have been equipped with Bioscrypt technology. Adding a second component of verification, matching an individual's fingerprint at the point of entry with information stored on their employee card, provides the multi-factor authentication capability that strengthens access control.

Strengthening security at border crossings has been the focus of a great deal of attention in recent years and we are proud to be providing a portion of the solution to attain that goal, stated Robert L. Williams, President and CEO of Bioscrypt Inc. "Authenticating an individual as an employee of a border control or port facility is a significant component to the overall security of these services. Bioscrypt will continue to work with our channel partners to address similar opportunities."
