F-Secure, a security firm specialising in mobile devices has found its fourth virus, a trojan, for the same phone.

The virus, Frontal.A Trojan is targetted at Nokia Series 60 phones. They use the Symbian operating system.

A corrupted font file is installed on the phones after spreading via file sharing. When the mobile is next rebooted, the file causes it to fail.

The .sis file is usually tagged "Kill Saddam". To retrieve the use of the phone, the user has to re-format the devices to the factory settings. Whilst they get the use back, personal data is lost.

Admittedly, F-Secure has not actually found the virus in the wild. Their advice is to only instal files from trusted sources.
